Now that’s its November, we’re entering that time of year. You know what I'm talking about; it's finally Fall and Summer is long gone! Kids are back to school, pumpkin spice lattes are out and about, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Those cozy and comfortable outfits can finally come out of storage. Here are 3 tips for transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall.
Tip #1. Wear Layers
With chilly morning and sweltering afternoons, you can’t go wrong with layers. You can still wear those short sleeve shirts and dresses but try adding a vest, long cardigan, or chunky sweater. But be careful and know what look good on your body, because the wrong length of cardigan can equally as easily make your silhouette choppy and sluggish.
The Carhartt Sherpa-lined Vest, which can be found at Wards Apparel, will keep you warm and complete any fall outfit!
Tip #2. Mix and Match Colors
Summer brings out my bright and colorful side like corals, greens, and turquoises! For fall set those aside and play up your colors with ones you see around you in nature, like burnt orange, mustard, burgundy, navy, dark green. Don’t hesitate to get your fall vibe on even if the weather is not cooperating.
Tip #3. Boots, boots, boots!
Forgotten boots are unfortunately hidden in our closet until winter and should come out and play during this transition time. We especially like the look of knee-high boots with short dresses or riding boots paired with a great fitting pair of jeans. Regardless of how you style your boots, keep it comfortable and stylish!
